Abstract: This work reports results on conducting an interdisciplinary project on the Information Systems undergraduate program at PUC Minas. The project involves Software Engineering courses guided by a project management process. This work aims at correcting problems identified in similar experiences previously related. At the end of the semester, students answered a questionnaire. It was possible to identify that the process was very useful to support the projects execution. Students also believe that the process and the interdisciplinary nature of the work contributed to their learning and may influence the quality of artifacts produced by other students.

Abstract: This paper presents an overview of the VisAr3D approach which has been designed, as an innovative proposal to be introduced in the classroom, to provide a 3D visualization of UML models. It includes exploration and interaction to establish a practical and pleasant learning activity, focusing in large scale systems. It is a new way to visualize and understand UML models, by combining the technologies of Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality. The paper also presents results of an experimental study conducted.

Abstract: This paper describes the Software Engineering Undergraduate Pro-gram at UNIPAMPA, where our major goal is to approximate theory and prac-tice. Aiming this goal, the program proposes to use the ProblemBased Learning (PBL) methodology. This methodology is implemented on Problem Solving (PS) courses, where students are challenged to develop a computational system to real problem. In order to provide such solution, it is required software engineer-ing concepts and team work. This paper reports our experiences in SP-I and SP-III.

Abstract: This article reports the experience of a Software Residency Program developed by Alcatel-Lucent and C.E.S.A.R with the goal of forming software development practitioners with specific skills and competences in Care Centers for the Telecom field. Positive results were reached with the use of PBL and the agile approach Kanban.

Abstract: Educational games support better learning in software engineering, as they reinforce concepts through practice, allowing a greater knowledge acquisition. The literature has proposed several games for software engineering teaching; however some of them do not have the evaluation of its effectiveness as a learning tool. This paper presents the game InspSoft, an educational game for teaching software inspection and the results of its evaluation by a specific model.

Abstract: This paper presents a method for the development ofthe matrix of disciplines of an undergraduate degree program in software engineering, based on education by competencies. This method seeks to fulfill the demands generated by the curriculum guidelines published bythe Brazilian Ministry of Education. The proposed method is employed in the elaboration of the grid of disciplines of the Software Engineering course of the Gama Faculty (FGA) of the University of Brasília (UnB).

Abstract: The software test activity is one of the activities related to quality assurance software. Given the importance of this activity, software testing has been addressed in all curriculum of reference proposed by both the SBC and the ACM. Aiming to assist the teaching of software testing, games have been proposed in the literature. However, there is still a lack of games for certain phases of testing activity, such as the planning phase. In this context, this paper aims to present an educational game to support the teaching of software testing, providing a simulation environment to experiment with practices related to planning of software testing.

Abstract: Duas características de um algoritmo têm importância fundamental no seu projeto ou uso: se ele permite chegar à resposta desejada (corretude) e quão eficiente ele é no uso dos recursos computacionais (complexidade). Portanto, é necessário que esses dois aspectos sejam enfatizados duranteo ensino de desenvolvimento de lgoritmos. Este trabalho propõe uma solução para a medição da eficiência de algoritmos por meio da implementação de um novo componente para a ferramenta IGED (Interpretador Gráfico de Estruturas de Dados), propondo o uso combinado das abordagens empírica e assintótica para avaliação de complexidade dos algoritmos.

Abstract: This work presents a virtual learning object for an effort estimation technique called Test Point Analysis. In order to promote learning, the object includes elements that stimulate the student, such as graphical visualizations, simulations, and interactions. The learning object was used by a group of students who performed activities and simulations, and assessed the object by answering a questionnaire. The results show that the learning object is effective and may be used in conjunction with other means of teaching and along side other software engineering learning objects.

Abstract: Collaborative learning relates theory and practical experience in solving problems in order prepare students for the enterprise environment. The possibility of linking the theoretical and practical knowledge during graduate courses gives students a practical experience while in the academic context. Not only, technical experience, but also, human experience regarding the development of relationship skills. Accordingly, we applied a practical project in a multidisciplinary context (Software Engineering and Database courses) in which the students applied Scrum agile methodology and a set of software development tools in order develop a software project. Such projects bring the student as close as possible to a real environment of software development. This article presents our experience, difficulties and lessons learned along a semester. Results have showed that applying a multidisciplinary project is a valuable initiative. We also present the perspective of students and teachers on the project.

Abstract: Project Management (PM) aims at training professionals to supervise teams and it is a very important field in Software Engineering (SE). Thus, in the process of teaching and learning, the methods used in forming human resources to SE industry have been reviewed in order to stimulate research on new strategies, such as educational games. In this sense, this paper presents ProMEG, an educational game to assist the process of teaching and learning of PM. ProMEG considers the scenario where the player is in a virtual enterprise and should develop a project with a development team. The goal is to explore the concepts related to PM, focusing on human resources and highlighting the entertainment in games.

Abstract: This paper describes the evolution of the InspectorX game, and presents an exploratory study with Computer Science students, from the disciplines of Software Quality and Systems Modeling, in order to evaluate the game. Results indicate that the impact on didactics is related to the quality of the question and clarity of the taxonomy used in the classification of defects.
